Moving to Colorado Springs Can Be a Fresh Start

By Julie DeLong, A-1 Freeman Moving Group

Moving to New Home

When you move to a new town, it is a chance to get a fresh start. You might not know anyone. While this could be stressful at first, it is also a chance to concentrate who you are. You need to explore all the fun things to do in Colorado Springs, connect with new friends, and work on becoming a better version of yourself.

Get Organized

Once you box up all of your possessions to move to Colorado Springs, you truly get to begin from square one in your new residence. This is a chance to get organized once and for all as you begin to unpack all the boxes.

If you have always thought about trying a new arrangement in your living room or bedroom, now is the time. You can switch up the colors, the arrangement, and even remove certain items that you no longer need prior to putting them away. As a side note, it is always best to purge them prior to moving them – but this is a chance to get organized.

Create "Me" Space

As you unpack and maneuver furniture around in your new home in Colorado Springs, be sure that you create a space especially for you. This can be your safe haven when you have had a stressful day. No matter if it is a "man cave" or a book corner in your bedroom, create a space that you will enjoy spending time in.

Do Something New

We all have activities that we have always dreamed of doing. Perhaps you have always wanted to learn more about local theater or take dancing lessons. Once you are in your new city, go for it. Locate a location or class that will provide you with the training. It's an opportunity to accomplish something different and meet some new friends along the way.

Stop Bad Habits

You may have a bad habit or two that you are not proud of. It could be that you do not sanitize your kitchen counter often enough or that you smoked at your old residence. No matter what it is that you desire to change, now is the best time to begin. You are in a new house, which allows you to begin from scratch. If you don't want to stay in the rut with the same habits, make the resolution to change. You could also want to scribble yourself notes from time to time so that you don’t forget why you are getting rid of those habits.

Meet the Neighbors

You may or may not know all the neighbors in your current area. After you move, be sure that you put in the effort to meet the people who live closeby. Although some neighbors may make the first move to welcome you to the neighborhood, there is nothing wrong with introducing yourself and taking the initiative. Meeting the people who live closeby can be a great safety feature. You do not need to be best buddies but it can be helpfule to have a contact who will watch out for your residence when you are not there and vice versa.

Don’t forget that moving to Colorado Springs is only as worrisome as you make it out to be. If you know that you are moving to a new town with the desire to get a fresh start, it can be a positive boost. You may be excited to start a new chapter in your life in Colorado Springs. Create a to-do list for your abode and for yourself so that you remember all of the tasks that you want to achieve. After you have officially moved in, you can then start on that list.

Best. Move. Ever!
Very pleased with the overall respect and care the men gave to my possessions. Even mailing me very quickly the only thing lost in transit. Would recommend to anyone needing a long distant move.
